Alzheimer’s Awareness

June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness month. The Alzheimer’s Association wants to get the word out about this devastating disease. A majority of people with Alzheimer’s are 65 and older. It’s a progressive disease and the most common cause of dementia. On average, a person with Alzheimer’s lives four to eight years after being diagnosed, but some people can live as long as 20 years.
