June 15th, let’s get the word out for World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. It’s unfortunate, but elder abuse is a serious problem. Elder abuse isn’t just physical it can also be financial; we’ve heard the stories of scams targeting older adults. Simple negligence also is a problem, when caregivers don’t provide basic necessities like nutritious food, appropriate medication, safety or assistance with hygiene. If you see something, say something!
