CARE, ASSISTANCE & SERVICES
Access to essential health services, and the ability to keep one’s home tidy and clean, are vital components of independent living. Personal Care Plans include additional health services such as skilled nursing, home health care and physical therapy. Our Homemaker Program assists elders in securing services that can include housecleaning, menu planning, laundry, shopping and meal preparation.

THE PERSONAL CARE AND HOMEMAKER PROGRAM
This program enables qualified adults over the age of 60 to hire personal care workers to provide day and overnight assistance. The personal care workers may assist the clients with preparation of meals, daily hygiene and dressing, and more.
Highland Valley Elder services will work with families to match needs with appropriate Home Care personnel. Our “Take Charge” program also allows qualified individuals the make the choice to hire and supervise their own Home Care workers.

- Chore Services - From time-to-time elders may require a little extra assistance with managing heavy household cleaning and maintenance, or even simple tasks that are difficult to handle along. Chore Services assists in securing this invaluable help.
- Respite Services - Family Caregivers will sometimes need a break, even with effective supports and services. Respite services offer that welcome breather by coordinating occasional staff support to meet planned and unplanned in-home needs.
- Nutrition Services - Nourishing hot meals produced in our own kitchen can be arranged for delivery to the elders' homes, five days a week. Lunch, dinner and frozen meals for weekend preparation are available. Meals are also served daily at local dining centers.
