Highland Valley Elder Services commemorates Juneteenth. The day observes the emancipation of enslaved African American slaves in the United States. June 19th was recognized as an official holiday in 2021 when President Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act into law. The day symbolizes freedom, resilience and cultural heritage. Highland Valley Elder Services will be closed on Friday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth.
