Wednesday, August 26th is Women’s Equality Day. The day is in recognition of the 1920 ratification of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote. This day honors those women in the past who overcame plenty of obstacles in the face of violence and discrimination to bring attention to women’s rights. Here at Highland Valley Elder Services, we honor and support the achievements of women in our office every day.
