June is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness month. The Alzheimer’s Association wants to get the word out about this devastating disease. A majority of people with Alzheimer’s are 65 and older. It’s a progressive disease and the most common cause of dementia. Pet therapy has been proven to help ease many medical issues. While having a dog or cat may not be an option for older adults with Alzheimer’s and dementia, there is an option that could provide some comfort.
