Publicize the Members Helping Members (MHM) Program through the production and distribution of materials.
MHM is a Caring Community within the 5 College Learning in Retirement, and consists of approximately 300 independent seniors living in Hampshire County. Volunteers provide the services to meet the needs of other members. A coordinator monitors the phone line, relays the call to the volunteer, and tracks this via the website at www.lotsahelpinghands.com/c/612582. Services include timely medical and essential non-medical transportation, meals, companionship, appropriate chores, reading to the vision impaired, and technical assistance to teach use of online information and communication tools.
